Locations
Conference Room
All sessions will be held in Beane Hall, on the 13th floor of Lewis Towers, on
Loyola Chicago's Water Tower Campus. The street address of the main entrance
of Lewis Towers is 111 E. Pearson St. You must check in at the front desk of
Lewis Towers before entering the building. Please be prepared to show a form of
photo ID in order to gain access to the building. You may want to allow an
extra 10 minutes for this process.
Conference Hotel
The official conference hotel is the Whitehall Hotel.
The street address of the Whitehall is 105 E. Delaware Place, and it is a 0.2
mile walk from Lewis Towers.
The Whitehall Hotel has reserved a small number of rooms for the conference at the rate of $169/night (plus taxes and fees). Call 800-948-4255 to make a reservation, and be sure to mention the name of our conference to get the rate.
Transportation
- All conference locations are within walking distance of each other.
- The closest CTA ("El") stop to all conference locations is the Chicago stop on the Red Line.
If flying into O'Hare, you can take the Blue Line directly from O'Hare to downtown, and switch to the Red Line (direction: Howard) at either the Jackson stop or the Lake stop.
If flying to Midway, you can take the Orange Line directly from Midway to downtown, and switch to the Red Line (direction: Howard) at State/Lake.
- Driving directly to the conference is not recommended, due to traffic and expensive or difficult parking. Guest parking at the Whitehall Hotel is $65/day. The City of Chicago's app to pay for street parking may be downloaded at this link: https://parkchicago.com/. You may also have luck with using a parking app such as SpotHero or ParkWhiz.
- Rideshares are also plentiful in the area of both airports and the conference; we recommend the easily downloadable apps Lyft or Via. Prices vary based on demand, but a Lyft from Midway to the conference hotel is $25-50, and $35-55 from O'Hare.
Food and Drink
- Conference attendees are responsible for their own meals (unless otherwise contacted by the organizers). There is an enormous number of fantastic eating establishments within walking distance of the conference and hotel.
- Coffee and small snacks will be available in the conference room each morning at 9am, as well as at the first afternoon break, for all conference attendees.
